On August 27, 2004, Bridges offered a presentation and discussion in Norwich entitled "An American Teaching in Iran". Professor Muhammad Legenhausen of the Imam Khomeini Education and Research Institute in Qom, Iran, spoke about his experiences as an American who converted to Islam, moved to Iran, and found a position teaching Western Philosophy in the city that is famous for training Islamic clergy. During the question and answer portion of the evening, topics included education, theology, economics, and daily life.
