About Us

Purpose

Building Bridges: Middle East-US, begun in February 2002, conducts  a program of public education to improve mutual understanding between Middle East countries and the US. Besides this web resource, we sponsor lectures, films and conferences—and hope to create opportunities for regular citizen dialogue via exchange visits. This project is conceived to address the long-term issues that people have become aware of since September 11.

Constituency

“Bridges” seeks the participation of religious and educational organizations as well as civic groups. While we will concentrate on constituencies in Vermont and New Hampshire, one of our goals will be to found a project that could be replicated elsewhere.

Board Members

  • Charles C. Buell, President, Norwich Vermont
  • Sharon Corrigan, Secretary, Quechee, Vermont
  • Clinton Gardner, Treasurer, Norwich, Vermont
